Day 1:Arrive
Tunis Carthage Airport. Met by Tour Manger.
Transfer to Hotel.

Day 2: TUNIS
Visit to Sidi Bou Said, the Phoenician
trading port of Carthage and the Tunis Medina. Today also visits to ‘The Byrsa Hill, the Carthage Museum and the Antonius Pius
Baths, the Roman Theatre, Roman Villas and Cisterns also the Phoenician Harbour. Afternoon visit to Bardo Museum.

Day 3: BULLA REGIA - DOUGGA
Today we leave Tunis for Bulla
Regia that features the underground Villas and incredible mosaics, left in-situ. Continue
onto Musti and the Roman ruins at Dougga.

Day 4: KAIROUN - TOZEUR
After breakfast a drive to Kairouan to visit the great
Mosque. Kairouan is defined as the
holiest city of Tunisia. Being also the
oldest Islamic settlement and having the oldest Mosque in North Africa with the
Worlds oldest minaret. Continue on to
Sbeitla and Tozeur
Sbeitla: Visit to Roman ruins, Temples of Minerva,
Jupiter and Juno the‘Antonine Gate’ and much more.

Day 5: TOZEUR
After breakfast depart to Metlaoui to join
the “Red Lizard Train” and a fantastic journey through the Canyons of Selja.Lunch in Metlaoui.
Following lunch a Caleche Ride through the
Palm & Olive Groves of Tozeur ending the day with a visit to the Botanical
Gardens and Sahara Zoo (Local Guide)

Day 6: DOUZ - MATMATA
After breakfast depart Tozeur to Douz - the Gateway to the Sahara Desert via the vast Chott el Jerid salt lakes
(5000sq.kms) before continuing on to Matmata. After a short stop at The Canyon of Midas
and the Oasis of Tamerza we continue on to the Troglodyte dwellings now made
famous by the “Star Wars” film.

Day 7: GABES - EL JEM - SOUSSE
After breakfast we stop in
Gabes to visit the local souk (market) before continuing on to the most
impressive sight in Tunisia, the Roman El Jem Ampitheatre. El Jem is the second
largest of its kind in the World. We
also include a visit to the ‘House of Africa’ Museum where is housed a vast
collection of mosaics from the Roman occupation of Tunisia. Then it’s on to the coastal town of Sousse
for the night.

Day 8: SOUSSE
Morning visits to the ‘Fortress of Sousse’ and
Catacombs.The Museum in Sousse has a fine
display of Roman mosaics such as The Triumph of Bacchus. Most of the mosaics came from dwellings in the vicinity. Also a visit to the Medina (old city). Time for
shopping in the ‘souk’

Day 9: SOUSSE - TUNIS
After breakfast we
depart Sousse to return to Tunis. En route vist to Tubourbu Majus and the
Roman Aqueducts at Mhammadia. Located about 60 km south-west of Tunis
lies the ancient city of Thuburbo Majus. Here, remnants of the capitol, temples,
markets, baths and residential villas all offer a glimpse to the glorious and
prosperous past that climaxed under Augustus and Hadrian. Continue to Tunis. Transfer to Tunis Carthage
Airport for your flight home.
